Move OneNote from Local PC to Office 365

Use the following instructions to move a local OneNote notebook file to OneDrive/Office 365.


  1. Open OneNote and click on the File menu and select Account.
  2. Click Sign In.
  1. Enter your Office 365 email address and password and click Next.
  1. If the following screen is shown click Yes.
  1. Click on Info and select your local OneDrive Notebook and click Settings → Share or Move.
  1. Give the OneNote File a name and click Move
  1. OneDrive will now be syncing to OneDrive
  2. Click Ok
